What is Mass. Memories Road Show?

• Mass. Memories Road Show allows people who live in Malden, MA to share images of their choice to keep safe in a historical archive.

During my internship at Urban Media Arts (UMA), I designed an event poster for Mass. Memories Road Show. I wanted to showcase images from the previous road show. Every other photo is either black and white or in color to give more contrast in the design. The images are creating a frame around the information about the event. The red and yellow used are from UMA’s brand book since they are helping host the event.

At UMA, I got the opportunity to design, schedule, write some captions and create a content calendar for their social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram using Hootsuite and Meta. Each social media graphic features a picture from the previous Mass. Memories Road Show from the digital archives. Using UMA’s branding book, I used their primary colors and incorporated them into the design.

The main goal with these social media posts were to encourage the city of Malden to participate and “BRING” their own photos. This is why every graphic has the phrase “What Photos Will You Bring?”
